I'm not sure how to say "Welcome" in nihongo - kind of embarrassing. For some reason I think "irrashaimase" is not correct - that that is reserved for sushi chefs to yell at you when you enter their restaurant (or store). So I settled on "yokoso" - which may also be wrong, who knows. All that matters is that I met little Remy-chan the other day. She was not that excited about my visit - barely batted an eye - but was nice enough to let me hold her for a bit. I was there for 4 or so hours and she pretty much slept quietly in her miracle blanket (not to be confused with the magic blankets the rest of us have). Her parents are remarkably relaxed and calm - and somehow even managed a tomato & basil garden over the summer (yes, I'm totally envious). Anyway, little Remy seems like a mellow little one and I can't wait to see her next time and I'll start teaching her the 3 words I know in Japanese. Hanakuso (boogers), unchi (poop) and onara (fart).

Thanks for coming out--hopefully we'll be able to hang out a little bit longer next time.
